Roasted Root Bisque
So often we reach for store bought broth because of it's convenience. While the rest of the ingredients we pair it with might be organic, we can easily fall into a pattern of using the store brand broth and forgetting about the potentially harmful additives and watered down ingredients we are consuming. If broth is the base of your meal, it should be packed with vital nutrients that support a healthier you! At Jubilee, we want you to feel well-equipped to navigate your kitchen and feed your family with all natural ingredients and that includes the basics, like our Herbal Broth.
Our Herbal Broth is a savory stock crafted from our aromatic herbs like cuban oregano, lemongrass, rosemary, turmeric and thai basil. Next, we add carrots, onions, celery, seaweed, shiitake mushrooms, and ginger to formulate flavorful and healing liquid nourishment. Each sip of our Herbal Broth is full of alkalizing amino acids that bolster our immune system, promote weight loss, soothe digestion, and cleanse toxins.
Below you will find one of our favorite recipes, a Roasted Root Bisque, which uses our Herbal Broth as a base.
1 jar of Herbal Broth
1 butternut squash, halved
1 cup of coconut milk
1 Tbsp curry powder
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp sea salt
1 Tbsp coconut aminos or fish sauce
1 handful of cilantro or thai basil, minced
Lay the two halves of the butternut squash skin side up and roast at 350’ for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool, then scoop out seeds.
Add squash to blender with Herbal Broth, coconut milk, curry powder, ginger, salt and coconut aminos.
Pour into bowl, sprinkle with lime juice and herbs
